Flower Diary Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

1. Data We Process

a. The App does not require a developer account and does not ask for your name, email address or telephone number for ordinary use. Data processing when you choose to submit feedback is explained in section 7. b. To provide journaling, bookmarks, and device sync, the App processes journals, goals, practice records, documents and other imported bookmark files, images, audio, video, bookmark-folder names, public web links, user titles, original post titles, source domains, page thumbnails, notes, dates, and settings that you choose to create or import. When you save or view a link bookmark, the App requests public preview metadata from the linked website, including its title, resolved web address, and thumbnail. It does not access third-party account details, login credentials, or non-public content. c. If you choose to use referral codes, the App stores the referral code, a randomly generated device identifier, and the redemption record in a CloudKit public database to prevent duplicate redemption and count referrals. These records do not contain your journal content, name, or contact details.

d. When creating subliminal audio, the App processes the affirmations you enter, voice recordings you choose to make, and background audio or video files you explicitly select for text-to-speech, level adjustment, previews, and mixing. Recording and mixing use Apple audio frameworks on your device; text-to-speech uses Apple system speech synthesis. The App does not upload this text or media to developer servers or third-party audio-generation services for these operations. e. Built-in background sounds are bundled with the App. Selecting and previewing them requires neither an online generation service nor microphone permission. Microphone permission is needed only when you choose to record. Cloud files you select or system voice resources may need to be downloaded by the corresponding system services.

2. Data Storage

a. Content is stored locally with Core Data and files in the App sandbox. b. When iCloud is available, journal and bookmark data, imported bookmark files, associated images, and completed custom audio or video are stored in the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple ID and synchronized across your devices. c. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple StoreKit. We do not receive your card number or full payment details.

d. Once saved, completed audio or video, the affirmation text used for text-to-speech, and related creation information are stored locally and synchronize through your private CloudKit database when iCloud is available. These items may also be included in backups you explicitly export.

3. Sharing, Tracking, and Permissions

a. We do not sell your data, show third-party advertising, or use third-party analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs. b. Sync and purchase features communicate with Apple iCloud, CloudKit, and App Store and are governed by Apple’s privacy policy. c. Microphone, photo-library, and file access are used only when you choose to record, select media, or select a file to bookmark. The App copies only the file you explicitly choose and does not browse your other files. The Share extension receives a public link and text you enter only when you explicitly choose Flower Diary in another app’s Share menu, and temporarily stages it in an App Group until import succeeds. d. Opening a saved link sends a normal request to the destination website or installed third-party app under that service’s own privacy policy. The App does not sign in to third-party accounts on your behalf.

4. Retention and Deletion

You can view, edit, and delete content in the App. In-app deletions synchronize to iCloud. Uninstalling removes the local copy but does not automatically delete data in iCloud, so data may return after reinstalling with the same Apple ID. Use iOS iCloud settings to disable sync or manage cloud data.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 14, or a higher age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Meditation is for adults aged 18 or over. Contact us if a child’s information has been submitted so that we can take appropriate deletion or other legally required protective measures.

6. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as features or legal requirements change. Questions may be sent to flowerdiary.app@gmail.com.

7. Meditation and Feedback Data

1. Meditation narration is bundled and played on your device. Starting practice sends no personal content to an online voice-generation service. Completed course names, durations, completion dates and chapters follow the journal’s local storage and private iCloud sync rules. They are usage records, not health assessments or evidence of benefit. 2. The acknowledged notice version, confirmation time and interface language are kept in this device’s preferences to avoid repeated notices and show material updates again. We do not collect date of birth, medical history, diagnoses or physiological measurements for this purpose. Clear the reading record by choosing to read and acknowledge again through the Notice link in the meditation introduction. System device backups may include local preferences. 3. Feedback is optional and does not affect other features. User feedback provides links to App Store reviews and a Xiaohongshu profile, where you can choose to leave a review, comment or private message. The App does not collect feedback forms or send content to a developer feedback server. No journals, files, device identifiers or version details are attached. 4. When you open links or choose to post reviews, comments or private messages, the platform you use handles the relevant account, content and network information under its rules. Public reviews and comments are visible to others. Do not post health information, identity documents, private journals or other people’s personal information. We use information you voluntarily provide only to understand issues, reply and improve the product, not for advertising or model training. Feedback is not live counselling or emergency care. 5. Use the platform’s controls to manage or delete messages. Platform retention is governed by its rules; the App cannot delete those records for you. The contact address flowerdiary.app@gmail.com remains available for separate correspondence or privacy requests. If you email us, your email provider and Gmail (Google LLC) may process email abroad; see https://policies.google.com/privacy .

8. Your Privacy Rights and Contact

Use the inbox above to request access, a copy, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, restriction or objection to processing, and portability where applicable law provides it. We verify only necessary identity information and respond within applicable statutory time limits. If a request cannot lawfully be fulfilled, we explain why and the available remedies. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing. You may complain to the competent privacy or consumer authority. Your journals are on your device and in your private iCloud; the developer cannot retrieve them from your Apple ID using an email address. Use the App and Apple settings to view, export or delete journal content. Mandatory privacy and consumer protections for users in mainland China, the EEA, the UK and other regions remain applicable. Translating this policy does not replace compliance with each region’s requirements.
