FlowerDiary user manual
Already familiar with manifestation? Look up feature entry points, settings and saving rules. The + button offers eleven tools; affirm is in a goal’s detail menu.
1. Terms and app features
Check the name first, then the controls. General concepts and app buttons do not always share a name.
| General concept | App feature | How they relate |
|---|---|---|
| Self-concept | New identity | New identity is the self-description field for your current chapter. It captures only part of your self-concept. |
| Vision Board | Vision board and goals | Each goal can contain text and up to ten images. Category folders and card stacks are ways the app displays them. |
| Affirmation | Goal affirm, 369 writing and Create SUB | Affirm lets you read a statement and confirm it; 369 schedules writing; Create SUB turns statements into audio. They are not synonyms. |
| Scripting | Scripting | The app groups writing into dawn, morning, afternoon and night. These are prompts; writing just one section is fine. |
| 369 Method | 369 writing | Enter today’s affirmation at the top, then use three morning, six noon and nine evening lines. Complete this period fills blank lines. You still need to save after completing all periods. |
| Gratitude Journaling | Gratitude | Write something you appreciate and save it, with optional pictures. This is the app’s gratitude entry point. |
| Manifestation Signs | Signs appeared | Record related experiences. Linking a goal can increase its signs count, but does not automatically mark it manifested. |
| Limiting Belief | Limiting beliefs | Save the specific thought first. In that day’s entry, tap Release. Saving a belief does not automatically complete a release. |
| Letting Go / Sedona Method | Release practice | The cards draw on Sedona questions, in the order Allow → Would you? → Could you? → When? You can also use your own audio guidance. |
| Subliminal Audio | Create SUB and Listen to SUB | The app creates affirmation audio with adjustable voice and background levels; it does not measure individual perceptual thresholds. Creating and listening have separate entry points. |
| Mindfulness Meditation | Meditation | For adults, with original Mandarin guidance currently available in 3-, 5-, 12- and 19-minute options. The 12/19-minute sessions offer body themes. Read the notice before your first session; start with 3 or 5 minutes. Pause or stop anytime—there is no need to endure discomfort. |
2. Goals and affirm
The vision board manages the current chapter’s identity, goals and statuses.
Concept and app name
- Self-concept→New identity Concept and origins
- Vision board→Vision board and goals Concept and origins
- Affirmations→Goal affirm, 369 writing and Create SUB Concept and origins
Where to start
Vision board → Add goal; goal details → … → affirm
Choose a category, describe the goal and add up to ten pictures. Multiple goals can share a category. Top icons switch between folders and card stacks. Expand the current chapter summary to edit your identity.
| Action | Rules |
|---|---|
| Edit, delete, mark as manifested | Use the detail menu or touch and hold a card within a category. Manifested goals no longer offer editing. |
| Reorder | Touch and hold a card stack to enter reordering, then drag the right-hand handle. |
| affirm | Once the full statement appears, tap yes! three times to advance automatically. Add, edit and delete statements in the top-right library. |
| Saving in affirm | All goals share one library. Confirmations do not create journal entries or automatically complete goals. |
3. Scripting and 369: drafts and saving
Both save drafts by chapter and date. Creating a formal entry requires tapping Save.
Concept and app name
- Scripting→Scripting Concept and origins
- 369 writing→369 writing Concept and origins
Where to start
+ → Scripting / 369 writing
| Tool | Use and saving |
|---|---|
| Scripting | Dawn, morning, afternoon and night sections; one section is enough. Save today’s script creates a journal and practice record. Saving again the same day updates the script. |
| 369 writing | Enter Today’s affirmation at the top. Below are 3 morning, 6 noon and 9 evening fields. Complete this period fills remaining blank lines from the top statement, so handwriting every line is optional. That period becomes read-only. Finish all three and tap Save today’s entry. |
| Saved 369 record | One complete practice per chapter per day, also creating an Affirmations journal entry. Leave after Saved appears. This is a category name: 369 and affirmations are not synonyms. The entry keeps the top statement and each written line. |
Leaving or backgrounding saves a draft. A new day loads new content. Drafts do not count as journal entries, and the three periods are not locked to clock times.
4. Releasing: cards and audio guidance
Start from today’s belief or create an independent release record.
Concept and app name
- Limiting beliefs→Limiting beliefs Concept and origins
- Letting go / Sedona Method→Release practice Concept and origins
Where to start
+ → Limiting beliefs → Save → Release; or + → Release practice
| Mode | How to finish |
|---|---|
| Guided cards | Enter content and an optional linked goal, start releasing and answer each card. At the end, repeat or choose Complete release → OK, done. |
| Audio guidance | Import your own audio or video. Keep video visuals or extract audio only. After playback, tap Complete release, add notes, then Save and finish. |
Starting from a belief retains the original entry, marks it Released and adds a release practice. An independent session adds only a practice record. Canceling completion saves nothing. Historical beliefs are read-only; their release status cannot be changed.
5. Book of Answers
Subscription feature drawing randomly from 666 built-in pages.
Where to start
+ → Book of Answers → write a question → Give it to the Book of Answers
Choose paper color, pattern and font before asking. Save after opening to keep the question, answer, page and style. Burn after reading leaves this exchange unsaved. Write another letter starts a new question. Saved letters can be revisited but not edited; burning does not delete older saved letters.
6. Create SUB: workflow and settings
Local recording, system text-to-speech and background mixing.
Concept and app name
- SUB / subliminal audio→Create SUB and Listen to SUB Concept and origins
Where to start
+ → Create SUB
- Choose recording or text-to-speech. Recording needs microphone access. Type your text or choose short statements or a complete script.
- Preview your recording. For text, tap Generate voice and regenerate after editing the words.
- Choose built-in background sound or import from Files or Photos. For video, keep the visuals or use audio only.
- Enter a unique title, choose an album and adjust the settings below.
- Tap Preview current settings, 20 seconds. When ready, Generate custom audio saves a successful creation to your library.
| Setting | Range / default |
|---|---|
| Total duration | 30–600 seconds / 180 seconds, in 30-second steps. Must exceed the affirmation audio’s duration. |
| Loop interval | 1–10 seconds / 3 seconds. |
| Track count | 1–30 tracks / 10 tracks. |
| Voice peak level | −60 to −10 dBFS / −28 dBFS. Controls the voice level in the mix; values closer to zero set a stronger voice. Device playback volume is separate. |
| Automatic speech speed | 2× for up to 100 effective characters, 4× for 101–300 and 6× above 300; punctuation, spaces and emoji are excluded. |
Voice language follows the app, with no separate voice or speed selector. Preview again after changes. Unfinished recordings and media are cleared when leaving without generating. Saved creations live in the library; individual audio export and sharing are not currently available.
7. Audio library, deer player and timer
Albums organize creations; they are not external-audio importers.
Concept and app name
- SUB / subliminal audio→Create SUB and Listen to SUB Concept and origins
Where to start
+ → Listen to SUB
The page opens as My audio library. Choose an album and a creation to play.
Search matches album titles, audio titles and text-to-speech source text. Use Albums or All to browse. Menus manage albums and let you move, rename or delete tracks. Default and custom albums can be deleted; their tracks move to Uncategorized. Empty albums are retained, and new albums require a name.
Drag the progress bar, play/pause, stop or skip. The repeat control switches between single-track repeat, album-order repeat and shuffle. Set the timer to 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or turn it off.
Full playback shows the deer player: tap to expand, tap the title for the full player or drag it to either side. The deer sleeps when paused and disappears when stopped. Playback continues in the background. Creation previews do not show the deer. Album minutes total track lengths, not listening time.
8. Meditation: playback and completion records
Body and breath awareness for adults. Start with 3 or 5 minutes; stop anytime rather than enduring discomfort.
Concept and app name
- Mindfulness meditation→Meditation Concept and origins
Where to start
+ → Meditation → duration → Start meditation
- Choose 3, 5, 12 or 19 minutes. Read Before you practice on first use and after important updates, then choose to start or leave.
- The opening 12 seconds include preparation and a gentle bowl cue. Follow Mandarin guidance for body and natural breath awareness. Continue the preceding practice during quiet intervals. The English interface also uses Mandarin narration.
- Pause and End this practice stay at the bottom. Open your eyes, adjust your position or stop if uncomfortable. Opening feedback pauses audio; it does not resume automatically.
- After finishing, review feelings and guidance or open User feedback from Meditation or Profile. It provides links to App Store reviews and Xiaohongshu comments or private messages; no journal or device information is attached.
- A full session successfully saved creates a usage record, not evidence of health effects. Stopping early requires no make-up session and does not affect other features.
All six durations include 12 seconds of preparation and a gentle ending. Original synthesized Mandarin narration is bundled for offline playback. The 3/5-minute versions have opening and closing bowl cues; 12 minutes and longer include a middle cue. Body themes are available for 12/19 minutes; chakra names describe traditional context only.
9. Journal: search, categories and read-only rules
All three bottom-navigation Journal views cover the current active chapter.
Concept and app name
- Gratitude journaling→Gratitude Concept and origins
- Manifestation signs→Signs appeared Concept and origins
- Limiting beliefs→Limiting beliefs Concept and origins
| Entry point | Scope and controls |
|---|---|
| Today | Search today’s keywords, types or moods. Tap photos to view them. |
| Calendar | Change months and select a date to revisit its journal and release entries. |
| Garden | Browse vertically and tap a category. “latest ·” shows its newest date; releases use completion dates. |
Gratitude, signs and limiting beliefs require text. Feelings can contain tags only. All four support up to nine pictures. A linked dimension ultimately matches one goal; linked signs increase that goal’s signs count.
Only today’s entries in the active, unarchived chapter can be edited or deleted. Saved Q&As cannot be edited. Older dates and archived chapters are read-only, with no backdating or date-changing entry point. Go back inside tools to choose again; tap the tool panel’s background to close it.
11. Chapters, sync and settings
Archiving preserves a stage of life; deletion removes its data.
Where to start
Vision board → Archive current chapter; Profile → Archived chapters
After archiving, enter a new identity to start another chapter. Archived chapters can be viewed and shared but cannot become active again. Swipe to delete an archived chapter to permanently remove its records; this cannot be undone.
| Profile option | Purpose |
|---|---|
| iCloud sync | Check account, sync state and diagnostics. Private CloudKit sync for one Apple account is system-scheduled; checking the account does not force an upload. |
| Optimize existing data | Organize resource and database storage. A private recovery backup is automatically verified first; this is not a user export feature. |
| Appearance & fonts / language | Adjust theme, font, size and language. Dark appearance follows the system. |
| Face ID unlock | Requires supported and configured Face ID. Locks again after entering the background. |
| Subscription | The free version allows three goals, one audio item and one archive. See the app for other benefits and prices; restore purchases on the purchase page. |
Before changing devices, confirm that pictures and audio have synced. If devices differ, preserve both sets of data before checking diagnostics. Profile → Backup & Transfer also provides local backup export and import. Shared journal images are not data backups.
